I'm wondering if it would be beneficial that try that or would it be harmful to work that frontal is muscle? or is it working the corrugator? I have been working on the scalp exercise and will continue to do that as I think its a great exercise.Īnother question: There is an exercise where you hold you hand on your forehead (so that it does not wrinkle) and raise your eyebrows (from Faceworks) I am able to easily lift my left eyebrow when I do that. I'll probably try that one later because Carolyn looks great. I bought CFF, but there are sooo many exercises and was not up to learning all of them right now. I've been really conservative with the facial exercising and am not worrying about improper buildup b/c I am going so slowly. I have been doing whole programs, with one or two exercises added to them. I was doing Senta Maria's program, then switched over to the Ageless program. I don't know where I got that exercise from. I do have Eva's book but have only looked through it and done them once or twice. I have looked at so many facial exercises that I guess I got confused. My face is not perfectly symmetrical, and I am okay with that ( I guess I have to be!), but the sagging really bothers me and I am determined to find a way to remedy it. Thank you for your responses! The sagging did not begin until just about a year ago (i'm 47) or when I was really tired, after I got into 40s. So while you think you need to focus on eyebrows, it may be you need to focus on just the scalp exercise so your frontalis muscle and scalp muscles can strengthen and lift your forehead and subsequently your eyebrows. What worked was focusing on working my whole face to bring tone to all muscles and in effect the interconnected muscles worked together to lift and smooth things out.

For instance when I had pronounced nasolabial lines, working muscles in the area where they were did not smooth them out. It is not always easy to know which muscles are responsible for a feature we may not like. I do not think working one side differently from the other is a good idea. This is why it is not safe to pick bits and pieces of a program as without the other pieces that complete the puzzle, you may end up getting results that will not be good.īTW, if this asymmetry is something that has developed with age, I believe with time, if you work both sides of the face the same, the weaker side will develop in strength and things will return to how they were. The exercise you describe is found in other programs but it is part of a comprehensive program within which are other exercises that work synergistically with it so you don't end up with the negative results Tom mentioned. You close your eyes and feel a stretch in the upper eyelid. Nowhere do the directions say to force eyebrows down. You are supposed to hold eyebrows in place in a raised position and simply close your eyes. You are not supposed to force your eyebrows down at all. If you are referring to the exercise on Eva Fraser's website on this page you are doing it wrong. or is it doing something to the brow muscle? Is it helpful for my problem?Īny advice or suggestions would be appreciated! I understand the eye muscle goes around the eye, but I don't get what the exercise is doing to the muscle. I don't understand what this exercise is doing exactly. Do you have any suggestions for this problem?Īnother question: I've been doing the Eva Fraser eyebrow exercise, where you lift and hold your brows in place with your fingers, then try to force them down. I just started doing the scalp exercises and I've been holding down my right brow down so that it will not lift up. If my left brow would be in the same position as my right one I would be happy. the right side of my body is much stronger than my left too). (I noticed when I talk and do the exercises my right eyebrow automatically goes up.

It is noticeably lower than the right, especially when I am tired. I've been keeping myself out of the sun for the past five years or so, but used to sunbathe a lot in my younger years.
